Moving Towards Neurodiversity

Current society is still very much in the “normal vs. abnormal” mindset when it comes to neurological differences. This handout is designed with parents/caregivers in mind and provides the basics of the concept of neurodiversity. It is presented in contrast to the current dominant normal vs. abnormal model.

Culturally Responsible Clinical Supervision

Allied health professionals are trained to work with diverse clients. This course will outline barriers to culturally responsive supervision and discuss solutions. We will discuss characteristics of culturally responsive supervisors, provide methods for developing and incorporating these characteristics into clinical practice, and address individual biases utilizing clinical scenarios.

An Introduction to Cultural Competemility in Speech-Language Pathology
