Low Stimulation following Brain Injury
When a person suffers from a brain injury, it is important to have a low stimulation protocol in place. This reduces the risk of the person becoming overstimulated from their environment, leading to agitation or restlessness. An injured brain has difficulty processing the information as it did before the damage. This resource provides a list of how to implement a low stimulation protocol, signs, symptoms, agitation or overstimulation triggers, and what to do/not to do when a person becomes agitated or overstimulated.
