This fun activity addresses the difference between long and short vowels. This multi-sensory approach includes visuals for yoga positions to match various long and short vowels, providing multi-sensory feedback to kiddos who need it.

Vowels may be introduced during the toddler years. However, difficulty with differentiating between short and long vowels may persist into childhood. This game is a fun, interactive tool to help with early awareness of vowel varieties through the identification of long vowels. This game may be played with up to 3 children per round.

Snowglobe with CV, VC, CVC, and CVCV syllable shapes: Fill the snow globe with word “snowballs” to practice various syllable shapes for children who are learning to put sounds together to form words.
