Home Quadriceps Strengthening For Pain Around the Kneecap
Pain around the kneecap, also known as patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS), is primarily managed with a combination of hip and thigh strengthening exercises. Strengthening the thigh (quadriceps) is especially important as quadriceps weakness is more strongly correlated to the development of PFPS. This intervention outlines a research supported simple quadriceps strengthening exercise that can be completed at home.
