Exercise Protocol for Vascular Claudication
Vascular claudication can cause intermittent debilitating leg pain with walking. Exercise has been shown to be effective for improving walking distance and pain free walking distance in people who have this condition especially when supervised. Not everyone, however, has access to physical therapy services for supervised treatment. This intervention piece briefly discusses the state of the literature on which exercise protocol is best for improving walking distance and then outlines a protocol that can be used independently to improve symptoms associated with vascular claudication.Tech specs: Digital download. 1 page. 8.5 x 11 inches.
